yes this was captured under deteriorating conditions. After dropping my Daughter off in sydney for her to fly to Perth (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=116167) I scrambled home to try and get some sunnage. the proms were active but the seeing was , well fertilised with a smoke filter. better than nothing but i will reprocess later

Very nice! That is really a monster sunspot. Great detail in the prominences too.

thanks Allan. i still have some issues with the gear - need to modify the ed 80 i think so that i can get focus properly with the baader solar wedge. focus is a bees appendage from racked all the way it, and thats with the 2.4 barlow, the 0.5 focal reducer has no hope as too the normal mounting, i need more inward focus. its overcast and cloudy now - not complaining though, its cool at about 23deg - nice!!

well i have lightly processed some more data. i really must relearn how to blend the images together - anyway there are some interesting features there.
