The “oo.O” Nebula in Ha

Left is IC 2162 (SH2-255(15')) then SH2-257(14'), SH2-256(5') and the big one is SH2-254(50'). Think I got that right. IC2162 shows up in Stellarium but the Sharpless one's don't so it might time for me to find a better program although I do like Stelariums simplicity. Managed to get 20x5 minute subs before the clouds move in so it's a little noisy. Processed in PS5, cropped, rotated, flipped horizontally.

Nice shot.

Did you enable Simbad online lookup in Stellarium? I just tested it and it found SH 2-257 no problem. (Edit: Although it does slew there, after further checking, there's no visual depiction of the object, which might be disconcerting).

Your right it can find it but only if you knew about it. Googled Stellarium+Sharpless to see if it was possible and wandered over to the Stellarium forum where I found this post.
http://sourceforge.net/p/stellarium/discussion/278769/thread/6e77c6a5/

Someone asked if it was possible to have an option to show Messier objects only to clear screen clutter and boy did that poor sod get stomped on!
The attitude seems to be that Stellarium is primarily for education and astronomers are a side issue.
Fair enough. That's why I'm looking for possible replacement software.
