View Full Version here: : So I lit a match.......
BBQ-Boy was at it again.
I was bored last night, the moon was full and I had an itching to do some photography.
So I checked the home insurance policy.... yep it's current and away I went.
Got this shot of a match just as it was lighting up.
Don't try this at home, I nearly burnt my eyebrows.
 :screwy:

What I want to know is how many matches did you go through trying to get the shot....???
If it was me a few hundred would have been lit but I dont smoke...bad habbit.
You guys crack me up. :lol2:
Believe it or not I only went through 4 or 5 matches.
The first couple were tests and then I got the shot.
(minus 2 fingers and eyebrows.....smoke alarm went off and woke the whole family)
Mike this was taken at 65mm macro with a long exposure of 8 sec @ f/16 and 100 ISO.
Used fill flash as well.
I've got some other shots too which I'll post later including some grass growing for Striker....:P

Andrew,
The Tracking must have been spot on! No image shift!!!
and flames run along a match pretty quick. Which tracking speed did you use: Sidereal? Lunar? Solar? Redhead?
