Hello,

Is it true that for a small telescope a CLS nebula filter is better because the UHC cuts off too much light and would make viewing difficult?

I have the Skywatcher Heritage 130p.

Not all UHC filters are the same. Some are similar to the CLS, some are dimmer (more narrow band). But most UHC filters should be okay in the 5".

Thanks. Actually the UHC filters are now sold out, but I am sure they will get them again. At any rate I will look at the specs if they are not always the same.

I have the astronomik UHC filter and it seems to work fine in my 5" newt.
