Except for the first couple of hours in the evening with high level cloud it was clear last night. In January - in the tropics. Doesn't happen very often at this time of year. Must be brewing for a gooden later on!

Struggled through nausea to get this. I so wanted to go to bed but I wasn't about to let the clear sky go to waste.

About 3 hours worth of subs, mostly 5 minutes at ISO 400, Full Spectrum Nikon D70s, Astronomik CLS filter, Kson ED80 at F5.5 f/L 440mm.

Yeah I think I might just be mad Mike. :screwy: I'm still recovering from a bug, but I need to shoot something. ;)

It's not deep like a winter shot would be, but I can't wait until then.

It's shaping up for a clear night here, jolly hot though, 42 yesterday. Now is the time I need my cooled camera running :(

Thanks Jo, the bug is getting better. The full size version printed out with nice little stars even to A3 size so I'm happy with that. The HEQ5 pro is tracking like a charm.

Last night I got 3 x 5 minute subs of my new target before it turned overcast. Could be worse I suppose. We could live on Venus. :rolleyes:

Hope you can get some imaging in while it's clear.

Huge field you have too, what size is the chip in the Nikon ?

Justin, the chip on the Nikon is APS-C - 1.6x factor I think? But my ED80 is a shorty at F5.5.
