Hi All,
More from the 28th, this time, the Cone nebula.
An hour of exposures (12 x 5 mins).
Quantity over quality, but hey, a first time on this target.
Cheers

:D
Yep Laurie, an allnighter on the 28th and I took out a blanket and was woken by the sunrise on the 30th.
I didn't have the heart to pack up when the sky was soooo clear, so I let the scope run for two hours on Sombrero, needless to say the dawn killed my last 45 minutes of subs on that one.
Cheers

Yes Justin, it is surprising just how faint it is.
I had to use the stars to get it lined up.
Glad you liked it.

Nice attempt Chris.
For such a short exposure, you are starting to get some detail.
I'm experimenting with this area at the moment and it is so difficult to process plus I have nowhere near enough exposure.
It seems to contain everything and once "nailed" I think will look beautiful.
Good luck with it.
Ross.

This area is a bit like the Rosette Ross, veeeery faint but it is there, makes it hard to frame it up nicely.
Cheers
Chris
