Hi All,
The central part of the Rosette nebula in HaRGB. About 7 hours of Ha data and about an hour for each of the colours.
Processed in CCDStack, then a lot of Photoshop. Processed to highlight the fine nebula structure.
Typical Melbourne seeing (2-4"), but with a lot of depth in the luminance a lot of selective sharpening can happen, maybe overdone?

That's a great image Stuart; superb detail and the stars are expertly blended against the nebula

Thanks Greg.
Can't see the cow, but I spotted a leaping cat, whale, goat, elephant and a hippo!

Here's the unadjusted Ha median combined tiff file (or a 200k representation of it).
A link to the original tiff file here (http://www.hightail.com/download/elNJdFdVQXA1UjdLd01UQw)
As you can see there has been quite a lot of work sone to the raw image...
Cheers

Hello Stuart,
The Ha image is really great. Never noticed the little animal shapes there, good spotting.
Can't get use to viewing images in Facebook though.
Good stuff,
Steve
Outstanding work! Very sharp and detailed. I actually like the color image better than the single Ha. Go figure? Don't tell Mike I wrote that. ;)

Yeah, nice work Stuart, plenty to see, nice and detailed and I like the diffraction spikes the ASA produces, unique. I'd like to see e little more colour variation but it still looks great
The animals in the Rosette (http://www.pbase.com/strongmanmike2002/image/140710554/original) were all discovered some time ago though :D

Hi Mike,
Yeah, I remembered (vaguely) your image.
The RGB images were cut a bit short as the target drops below the roofline at about 0430, so I'm probably missing some dynamic range in the blue. But looking at the RGB exposures the image should be very, very red.
Cheers
