Be good to "know" what the colour of the moon should be ,as both January & March 2014 have 2 New Moons each.!

I think its going to be just plain old grey till the 31st of July 2015 when the next 'blue' moon is due.

Going by recent experience, the colour doesn't matter. Clouds win all the time.

I thought after a beautiful clear cloudless day I'd have a chance. Now it's completely sky covered in that god awful grey fluffy crud.
I am going to invent a high intensity laser to evaporate holes through clouds. Birds and aeroplanes beware :)

The 2nd new moon in a calendar month is called the "blue moon" but that has nothing to do with it's actual colour.
It is also known as a "black moon"...although I cannot remember why this is called so.

Ahem, pardon me, but wouldn't that be the "2nd full moon"? ;)
[PEDANTIC MODE]
It seems the modern definition of a Blue Moon is a convenience, and the original definition was somewhat different: What's a Blue Moon? (http://www.skyandtelescope.com/observing/objects/moon/3304131.html?page=1&c=y)
The name itself wasn't originally "blue" but "belewe", from the Old English, which had a double meaning as the colour and as "betrayer" (More here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_moon)):

I now feel satisfied that I qualify as a "lunartic". :)
