Hi all
Tis been a while since my last astro image but got the gear out last night to have a go at this faint comet. I could not see it so trusted the Argo Navis to locate it. Wasnt far off :)

Nice pic of a faint fuzzy, with tail even!
Interesting choice of ISO. Is the 350D most happy at ISO 200?

Thanks.
Its more a factor of light pollution. Using higher then 200ISO and 10 minute exposure would come out too light. If I was shooting under a dark sky Id use ISO400. As it was Id have been better off using ISO400 and 5 min subs as the comet moved a fair bit even in 10 minutes.

tried this lastnight with the 80mm scope, I can see a smudge in the frames and it moves when animated, but thats all the detail I can get. Will try again once my 8" scope arrives :) Nice work though, difficult target at 15th mag.

There was someone on the comet watch facebook page that got it with a 200mm lens!
From here I'd be struggling with anything I can shoot through. It's going to get closer so I'll wait a bit, unless I get bored lol.
