Hello,

Do you think it can be problematic to stack two Barlow lenses with my Heritage 130p?

Its maximum magnification is 260x. The magnification of the 10mm lens is 65x, so obviously 2 2x Barlow lenses would provide the maximum level of magnification.... I was thinking of planets and constellations or nebulas of course, not the moon. (There is also a 4x Barlow lens on eBay, but it is very expensive.)

Thanks!

With a 5" newt I'd stick with 130x the 2xbarlow will introduce (or get the GSO 2.5x Barlow)

Unless you have excellent seeing conditions, as Daniel says, a x2.5 Barlow will probably be the working limit.

Thank you. I will just buy one for the moment then...

Is this a good one?

I like the fact that is is adjustable. It also says: The lens is treated with multiple broadband green coatings to limit or reduce the effects of chromatic aberration.

Sorry I had so many questions this first couple of weeks. I will start buying stuff at the end of next week as I know what I need by now thanks to this forum and its participants.
