Hi All,
Imaged Jupiter this morning in hot & windy conditions, the temp was still 31 degrees C at 2am and the hot North wind made it difficult to keep Jove on the cameras chip, even inside my observatory.
Have attached a 742nm IR animation of 3 data sets over an approx 50 min period. The seeing was poor but improved a little as Jupiter eventually rose to 35 degrees alt. The IR worked a lot better than did the RGB's. The RGB I have attached shows the turbulent wake of the GRS which is going over the P limb.
Have also attached a UV image of Venus from Dec 16th.
Regards
Trevor
