Looks like lots of people imaged the same storm on Saturday night. This is a composite of 13 images, shot with a Canon Ixux 85 S using the CHDK software mod.

Storm rolled in just after sunset at Glenore Grove. I was hoping to get some shots of the Geminids later in the evening but it clouded up around midnight.

What a remarkable image. One of the best lightning photos I have seen for ages. I have always found lightning photography intriguing from sitting ona metal roof imaging an incoming storm with an EOS7 film camera! I got the shot though!

Stacking multiple images is a good approach.

Thanks for the kind comments. Sorry for the late reply as have been in Tasmania unsuccessfully chasing the aurora.

I love the storms, except when I'm trying to do AP. Loved my 2 recent trips to Tassie but much of it was clouded over, so very few pics.

Thanks.

Greg, you're braver than I am. I'd rather not sit on a metal roof with a storm incoming. Last week's storm we heard the hiss and crackle before the lightning struck nearby.

Thanks.
