Hi,
My first real narrowband effort after I got the S2 and O3 filters.
I managed to get 15 minutes on each filter last night before the clouds rolled in. so these are single 15min subs combined with two variations for R:G:B -
Ha:O3:S2 and S2:O3:Ha just for a bit of fun.
Taken from my backyard that's in light pollution central with a blazing moon behind.
I had a very strong gradient with the S2, so I removed the gradient in startools for each filter separately, and then did the combine. This removed the gradient much better than when done after after the combine.
My Collimation woes are finally over and I do have minor tilt but am happy.
hope to get a few hours on this again to reveal all the fine wisps of nebulosity in this area.
Equipment
10inch F4 Serrurier Truss, Baader MPCC mk3
NEQ6 pro
SBIG STF8300M Mono
Baader 7nmHa, 8.5nm O3, 8nm S2 36mm filters
OAG with Lodestar
Cheers
Alistair
