Full moon was up so it was Ha time. Captured 35x5min subs
of the heart of the Rosette nebula saturday night and
loved it. Thinking about doing a four panel mosaic of it
in Ha/OIII/Hb so it will probably be a multi-year project
given how cloudy this year has been. The full moon marched
closer to the rosette so went looking for something not done
before and settled on NGC 2467. Stellarium said it was only
16' big and several images seemed to confirm that but some Ha
indicated there was a lot more to it. Ran some 5 minute
subs sunday night and when stretched, confirmed this.
So monday night captured 19x10 min subs and processed them.
I need to do some more work on processing the bright area
but you can see there's a lot of interesting things
happening in this neb. Cropped the image to about 80% to
highlight the neb.
Cheers
