Hi Ron,
The words "great" and "classic" are often overused, but with regards the movie
"Lawrence of Arabia" they are absolutely fitting.
It was about as good as cinema ever gets.
The scene where Lawrence rides back with Gasmin, who he has saved from certain
death in the "Devi's Anvil", never fails to leave a lump in the throat with its pure cinematic
power -

David Lean, screenplay writers Robert Bolt and Michael Wilson, production
designer John Box, cinematographer Freddie Young, composer Maurice Jarre,
producer Sam Spiegel, actors Alex Guinness, Jack Hawkins & Anthony Quinn - they
are all dead now.
Omar Shariff survives at age 81.

Gary, one of the best casts ever in a film.
I love the scene where Lawrence is riding through the Chasm and singing "The man who broke the bank of Monte Carlo, then Anthony Quale starts clapping and the sound rebounding of the hills just fantastic.
Cheers:thumbsup:
Sad to hear of his passing.
One of the great classical actors.
