Hi all,
Just thought I would share these photos with you all, I took these with my 60mm Saxon telescope using a 25mm eyepiece and a 12 mega pixel camera phone.

Hi Danial,
Good start. Now you've got some moonage you need to think and practice to make every shot better in some way. And soon you will be getting crystal clear shots.

Richard.

:) You are on your way Daniel , just try down sizing the shots to about 1000 x 1200 in windows photo before posting and they will be a lot smaller and sharper .
Still a great first effort , keep it up .
Brian.

nice first pics! practice with different settings. if you're able to with your phone set iso to 100 and exposure to -2. the moon is a very bright object especially afocally with a phone.
this pic isn't edited ...taken on a HTC one with those settings with a 10" dob and a 40mm ep, giving 31x but zoomed with the phone about half way. ps no matter how hard I try I can't get the whole thing to focus properly.

 Nice photo Matt .
Dan here is one done by me using a HTC wildfire and my now sold 60mm Takahashi and 19mm eyepiece , just showing what can be acheaved using a 60mm scope and cell phone .
As Matt said with a little practice great shots can be taken , keep at it and you will get better and better .

thanks Brian. I just play around with settings and different eye pieces when the moon is out. going to get a gorilla grip so I can wrap it around the focuser to stop hand shake one day.

nice pic too probably a better representation of what is achievable with the 60mm. it's defiently alot of fun never the less the outcome :)

It's amazing to think a camera phone can produce these types of images through a scope. Well done!
