Hi to all

I finally got some narrowband and RGB data for the Tarantula. I processed the colour by using the combined Ha, SII and OIII as a luminance layer over the RGB. Don't ask me why I did that - it seemed a good idea at the time.

Cheers

Steve

Whatever you did with the NB seems to have worked well with this image. Huge amount of detail just sitting back without zooming in.
Noice

That is just superb Steve. Is this first light for the STXL6303?

Greg.

Thanks Greg. The Ha is actually the first light but it was with the old mount so the colour is second light for the camera but first for the Paramount.

Thanks David

Thanks Scott

Thanks Rick. I haven't completed the Paramount learning curve yet but am getting there.

The colours look great Steve  using NB data to create LRGB looking images was my only real way of tackling the poor seeing I had in Newcastle, it is a good technique I used it for THIS (http://www.pbase.com/strongmanmike2002/image/140217701/original) image for example, although I used only Ha and OIII as the Lum...few other tweeks along the way of course but you get my drift.

Cheers

Mike

Thanks Mike. I think it's a technique I'll be using more and more. It certainly worked a treat in your M42 image.
