Another bright nova has appeared in the sky, this time in Centaurus. Visible at about mag 4.5 it is near Beta Centauri. Here are two images from this morning. The first is a wider view with Crux and the Pointers, and the second is a 100% crop of a 200mm image using a Canon EOS 600D.

Good shots. The wide shot looks great!
Good work.... I'll have to image this one too.... I just wish it was in a more convenient constellation! ie rises to a good alt by midnight.... :)
