Sat 7th Dec commencing from noon. All are welcome to this event, including members of the public, to be held at the ASV’s dark sky site.

You could win a :) 12-inch Dobsonian telescope as a door prize :eyepop:, more than 50 telescopes to look through, wine tastings from Heathcote district vignerons, Father Christmas for the kids, Sky for the Night with Perry Vlahos, tasty food from the local Lions Club, Trivia with great prizes, solar viewing with special sun ‘scopes during the afternoon, tours of the site for first timers, 6th magnitude stars (yes, they do exists!), and much, much more. Mark it in your phone’s calendar and be there... because it’s more fun, than scoring a ton!

See directions on the flyer and follow the ASV signs to the site.

Hi KenLM.

Many thanks for the notification. I've had very memorable experiences at this event in previous years. I will do my best to attend again this year - that door prize is well worth the trip in itself.

Clear skies and lots of fun.

Cheers,

Russ

I was a first timer - it was great fun, and I finally got my scopes to a dark site. Weather was perfect...
