Hi guys.

This shot was taken several months ago, but never got around to processing it. Amazing what a few lonely hours at work can do, now i've finally got around to doing it.

There's a couple of others i'm in the process of doing, i'll post them up later.

Here is the Pleiades + Taurus area, taken with Sony DSCP100 on a fixed tripod, 3 shots @ 15s (ISO400) stacked in registax, processed in photoshop. I can't do any longer than 15s, or any more than 3 stacked shots, otherwise I get star trails.

The lovely sky glow is from the North, towards Newcastle.

Thanks

Very nice Ice. Next time your doing these type of shots get a torch and briefly light up the trees in the foreground. Adds a nice touch.
Cheers

If you mouse-over the whole image, it says close, cause if you click on the fullsize image, it closes the window.

The mouse-over is the constellation lines (and names) that come up. Move your mouse off the whole image, and they go away.

Good idea Robby, i'll try that next time!

oh and yeh, the fullsize version is around 200k for dialuppers. oh and the rollover image is another 200k, so prepare to wait a little if you're on dialup.
