Gad, that is sad. My wife and I were watching a few of these on DVD last week. Love the show.

Also was a big fan as a kid. The onscreen interaction between Collins and Shaw make this series still my favourite cops and robbers show of all time!
Hard to believe the two of them were initially very serious thespians!

Sad indeed. It was one of my favourite shows growing up. I have the box set of The Professionals and have been watching it recently - I'm about half way through Season 4 right now. RIP Lewis.

Loved it as a kid too - it was the first time I was allowed up past 2030 :)

Still remember the theme music, and I haven't watched it in 30-odd years.
