I remember the first night I got the new LX90 home and did the built-in sky tour (or what ever it is) and I saw a my second globular cluster. I thought "Argh great! Another load of dots" Now that I know their place in the cosmos, I am really quite in awe of them! Here's a top site for sorting out the little buggers http://www.seds.org/messier/glob.html

Very nice image using quite an unconventional set of auxiliary equipment (from your sig).

I have written to my council about my light pollution problem. Look where I have a street light :mad2:. After a month I received an email saying that they have received my email...waiting....
