Every time I cut down these big Eucalypts, dozens of these guy scurry out of every crack. I try to rescue as many as I can before I drop the tree.

Love 'em!

(Sorry for the low quality. I pulled my phone out and gave it to a work mate to take the pic.)

Holy crap!

You would have to pay me a large sum of money to put a spider on me.

:)
I'm not exactly scared of spiders but that's too close for me!
What kind of spider is it?
Cheers

Does'nt the arachnid look scared?

Fortnightly pay covers it for me...

Yep! It's a Huntsman. Very gentle creatures.

Do you recommend we try this at home?

If they are at home I leave them alone. I only grab the ones at work to save them from being crushed while felling trees. I've been doing it a while so I don't suggest everyone should just go and start manhandling spiders.

They are great spiders. Keep them around the garden to keep cockies etc at Bay. I was lucky enough to see one catch a cockie and proceed to devour it in my garage one night.

Was it a Pink and Grey Cockie or a Sulphur Crested Cockie?

Guys, remember Barry is really Ironman, so he has balls of steel :)

Spiders don't worry me, but on your face is a LITTLE too much "in the comfort zone".

love it! if only people knew they are harmless and put them outside again instead of squashing or baygoning them, the real pests would be under control.

keep saving whatever you can from those trees, except termites :)
