Had a quick late session this morning totalling 15 mins. Did not have time to collimate and scope had been cooling for 1 hour, Jupiter was down to 44 degrees elevation so not really ideal circumstances but if seeing is good anything is possible and despite fog and thin cloud being forecast (which it was when i first put the scope out) this had cleared and Jupiter was rock solid like a snooker ball.

QHY5L-II colour cam & 3x tv, 1.5x drizzle, 06.20 ut 2nd image 85% scale.

Well done Stuart, reckon you should be pleased with this. Regarding the alt, I recall Damian posting an absolute ripper Saturn captured at 26 degrees alt.

Thanks Matt this will be the last of my images with the Dob for some time as it looks like I've ruptured the medial ligament in my knee. Hopefuly I may be able to use my little 5" Mak in a few weeks unless I need an op. Not a happy camper!
