Hi all,

There is a close pass (almost transit) of Venus to the ISS tonight. They will appear very close together at 22:22 tonight. I am hoping to get it onto video through my Telescope, so hopefully I will be able to, have to test settings to make sure I can get both exposed ok.. only expecting a blip to move near the crescent Venus... Anyone else in Adelaide giving this a go?

Cheers for the heads up. Will go out later but it's quite cloudy down here at the moment.

Not good Dan, I setup for an earlier pass near Canopus and got it..

Sorry about the Audio, I was almost excited.... Taken through my 80mm f5.6 refractor, Canon 1100D.

haha, nice work. Reminds me when I used to go outside imaging and I had to keep the dogs away from the telescope.

It's clearing up down this way so I might be lucky.

It was almost a wash out, I threw the barlow and extension tube on the 80mm scope and shot it like that, missed by a very small amount :( Uploading video now.

Looking at this image, I put the ISS around 2.7arcmins from the planet, does this look about right? I use skymap to give me the planets diameter...
