As soon as I was released from my fatherly duties tonight, I headed up into the mountains to see if I could push my light experiments a little further.
We had some thunderstorms and lightning about tonight and the scrub was wet, but pushing through the bush getting wet turned out to be worth it when I reached the granite on the ridge.

Thanks guys. Number one is an area well known for Aboriginal history, so I think it rather special that it turned out the way it did.
I have plans for that one.

Beautiful photos! What's this done with? A LED at the end of a rope?

Wow, great work there. They do Alien and that first shot does look like you have painted an aboriginal painting on the rocks. Very cool images!
Fantastic images Baz.
Love 'em

Yep. Thanks!
I think it only fitting as the area has a lot of indigenous history.
Ta Andrew!
Thanks David!
I had to Google the name, but yes, he among many others who've tried similar stuff to varying success. I also tried the burning steel wool in the egg whisk at the end of a rope, but I don't like the results. They all look the same to me. Just Google image search steel wool photography and you'll see what I mean.

Excellent resuts Baz, as a star-skyscape I like No3 best, looks like an alien ship hiding and starting up or a worm hole portal opening up

Great Job Baz, the first one is amazing the way the reflects are on the rocks, with the dots it does add to the aboriginal feel, kind of like a dot painting.
