I have a GSTAR EX Mono camera, fantastic for video astronomy, and brilliant for solar. Just check out Derek Klepp's beautiful solar imagery if you want to see what this camera is capable of:

It has the ability to occult the Sun's disc to concentrate on the flares etc.
I used it mainly for outreach, you get fantastic real-time views of nebulae galaxies etc. with much, much, much more detail than through an eyepiece. Great for light polluted areas.
$290 posted in Oz, or make me an offer or trade me something, it is too sad to have this sit on my shelf unused. I no longer do outreach, so it is sitting idle.
