If you are thinking of buying a new computer or anything computer related stay away from Centrecom. I have had many issues with them.

I ordered some parts on the online store which took 3 weeks to arrive. They were both in stock then all of a sudden one of them was out of stock and they were waiting for that item to arrive. They did not inform me or anything! I had to chase them up. Since there is no direct number to the online store I called the head office in Sunshine and they redirected me to the online store. They said they were going to call back which they didn't so I called the next day and the Sunshine store said they can't redirect me because they arn't allowed?? Called Clayton, same thing! But they said Sunshine can redirect you.

Anyway in the end my items came (3 weeks) but should have only been about 2 days! Now I am having trouble with a laptop my girlfriend got from there and dealing with their poor customer service and unknowledgable staff.

Apparently the online store works independently from the other stores and they do not contact the online store at all. They told me they don't even have the number! All sounds dodgy to me and will never shop there again.

Order from PC Case gear. The best customer service I have experienced. They keep you informed on when your order has been paid, shipped, delayed, etc and ship within a few days!!

Had to vent...:mad2:

 Thats bad ! service for sure Stefan , I hear you .

Just before I left Darwin I had a 500gb external HD that was playing up so I took it to a computer repair store .
They checked it charged me $44 and said the HD was dying and for $400-500 they can send it away to Sydney and have all the data saved ,, damn !!:mad2: .
I left the store to think about that as the HD has ton's of Astro stuff from years gone by on it ,, my backup , what a JOKE ! .

Any way the reason I pulled the 500gb drive out of its case in the cupboard was because I was selling my desktop and wanted to download everything into this backup drive .

So I went to JB hifi and grabbed a 256gb external HD for $47 and took it home and filled it from my desktop and on looking at the USB2-USB3 cable of the new one it looked similar to the 500gb HD one ?? so I plugged the new cable into the (so-called dying 500gb HD) and LO and BEHOLD  it worked .

Those so-called experts were gonna charge me $400-500 for a $15 USB cable ??? I was NOT! happy and went and told them so in no uncertain terms ,, man even I know you check the cables FIRST ;) , Experts NO ! Robbers yes ! .
Always get a second opinion when dealing with computers .

My vent over .:D .

We had a bad experience at that shop years ago too Stefan and never went back. How dumb do they have to be to give poor customer service in a competitive market place.
We've bought from PC Case Gear and MSY for many years without a problem.

Always have shopped at MSY ......if they haven't got what I'm looking for .....then....Umart.

Occasionally ...some bits from JayCar.

Great service from both......

I'm considering ordering parts for a new PC build for FSX. I've been comparing prices and conclude that Centrecom is a fair bit more expensive than PCCG, MSY and PC DIY. They charge more than Scorptec (I've heard they're excellent) for some products as well.

Laptop is getting repaired. I can't believe they charge you when it's still under warranty, how the hell does that work?? What's the point of warranty then!

Since I complained so much they didn't charge me
