While waiting out in the middle of Lake George to catch a glimpse of Comet ISON from 3:30am until dawn, I thought I'd make use of the cloud-waiting.

I've seen many photographers try this with different compositions, gadgets and techniques, so I thought I'd have a crack at a few of my own.

Here's six of 'em, but if you want to see the rest, I have them all in my own gallery. (http://www.barryarmsteadphotography.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=15228538)

You'll start reported sightings of Min Min's if you carry on like that too often.

Thanks Stu and Andrew.

Actually I was worried about the 4am traffic on the Federal highway stopping to see if I was signalling for help!

Thanks Greg. Not my original idea, I'm just expanding on an old technique a little.

Really interesting effect! Kind of looks like a terminator might step out at any time.
