Large sunspot AR11899.

Saturday 16th Nov. Lots of sunspots this morning - the largest AR11899 I estimated at 42,608 km in diam. North is to upper right. Sky was a bit rough. Taken thru a WO 81 mm refractor with Baader wedge/Canon 550d. Thanks for viewing. Cheers all.

Lovely detail in those spots coming through. Is there a fraction of camera tilt top versus bottom? Not much hope in Sydney any time soon for the skies to clear.

Hi ted, No camera tilt that I know of, but atmosphere was poor - you can tell from the edge roughness - was rippling while I was watching.
