well i rushed home from work yesterday so i could try out my newly aquired coranado SM40, but i thought while the sun was high enough i would try for some solar imageing with the Lunt60 and the DMK41 with 2.4 vixen barlow. i have rocks in my head. It was like a ocean in a storm, I should really put up a video from the afternoon to show how rubbish it was.

Still i forged on thinking that Autostakkert can work wonders - no it cant... bad data is bad data.......

anyway as each grab was done to make the mosaic it got lower , and the brightness was changing, as you can see with the mosaic. i will post it anyway - will learn how to get rid of the join gradient lines?. there were some brilliant proms what have been covered better by others who have more skill and better technique:lol: but here mine are anyway:D

BTW the visual views through the SM40 were brilliant - wondered why i wasted my time trying to image the sun:P

thanks i have noticed that in the past few months the stability and seeing are getting worse in Newcastle. never really noticed it until i tried digging for data on Sol. LOL the rest of the time is carp too…isn't that right Michael?

...yes.

You are way to hard on yourself Dave, this is another good result to me eye, sure it ain't peeeerfect but it is still a worthwhile view and worth the effort, well done

Mike

Hi David, a little bit quilted on the FD but you got your fix :) I actually like the look of the last image.
