For an "el crapo" lens, it's not half bad!! :) Good shot :)

Optically maybe, but mechanically – total crap.
Both rings are so loose that one needs to use a sticky tape to stop them from rotating by themselves at the slightest blow of the wind or movement of the shutter.
All together, the 47Tuc is not bad, but SMC needs more data ..

Nice looking widefield Ian.
Even the better quality camera lenses need to be taped down. Their focusing is sensitive even to the slightest touch!

Ian,
I really do like this image
Inspires me to try something similar.
Was this taken from a dark site?
Paul
Thanks Paul,
:thanx:
Actually no, it was taken from my backyard and therefore it was heavily black-clipped.

That worked quite effectively especially considering being taken from the burbs.
Greg.
Thanks Roger,
:thanx:
Well, even a short series of 90s frames can produce an image, perhaps not of extraordinary quality, but something that just can satisfy basic astrophotographer’s desire.

Thanks Greg,
:thanx:
I haven't yet discovered my "secret dark site" ;)
