Advertising

Hi, is it my computer, or is there NO advertising on the right hand side of the forum page.?
All as I have is a load of boxes saying "Advertisement"

Me, too.

I use AdBlock Plus, though, so assumed it was a recent update to the blocking list that caused it - just checked by turning off ad blocking on iceinspace.com.au, and the ads came back, so it looks like that was it.

I didn't know there was such a thing as add blocking on iceinspace.com

The option isn't on the web site. In AdBlock Plus (an add-on for Firefox, Chrome and possibly other browsers that blocks ads based on a list of advertising providers and their source details), there is an option to disable ad blocking for the current site or page. I temporarily disabled AdBlock Plus on "iceinspace.com.au" so that any ad sources served through that address would be permitted. The ads came back when I did. (See attached screenshot, which shows the AdBlock Plus menu option).

My guess is that either there was an update to AdBlock Plus that affected how it worked on IIS, or that IIS changed the way ads were served.

No change from our end. Sounds like you're using an adblock plugin or similar for your browser.

Wow, I only just noticed that too.
Adblock never used to block those ads, must have been an update.

I went into addblock and checked to see what was blocked and iceinspace adds where highlighted in red uncrossed them and Whella back came the adds.
Now I know how to get rid of adds will be more active in getting rid of them :D
