This is the final result of my efforts on M31 from last week.
It consists of a stack of 12 x 80sec images @1600 ISO (16 min Total).
I was lucky enough to have a clear view to the north since it was only 8 deg above the horizon and just managing to beat daybreak !!!
Two of the frames had satellites crossing through them so I left those off although they make an interesting frame.
Quite happy with it when you consider that to get a properly exposed image you need around 3 hours of exposure time with my setup.

I appreciate you thoughts and suggestions and as always thanks for looking.

Cheers.

very impressive RB, i remember looking at some astronomy books years ago at school and seeing Andromeda just like that taken with the 200" Mt Palomar scope, how far we have come.

Amazing you were able to produce such a good result, congratualtions. I had to laugh re sat in picture I remember reading some old stuff on photography and the author said the chances of getting a sat in your picture are extremely remote..these days its almost the reverse.
Thanks for showing I can look at these all day (and I often do)

great shot Andrew. Beautiful. I tried to take this last night but was too low to the horizon with fence tree in the way. You have captured a stunner.

Awesome image Andrew.

You have some major detail considering your exposure time and 8 Deg above the horizon...truly amazing.

Keep them coming I love your work.

Amazing work Andrew. Like others, I am amazed at what you have achieved so close to the horizon. As a visual object, M31 has only ever been a smudgey oily blur to my eyes it is so low.

Thanks for sharing, buddy!

Played around with the levels a bit more.
Obviously could do with more exposure but it's fun to muck around with what's there.
