Here's one for Kevin ;)
Rigel and the Witches Head, 60x150 sec subs.
Cooled modded Canon 350D, Iso 1600, Nikon 85mm lens F8.
Have wanted to do this properly for a while now and I think it turned out alright, lots of gas and dust in this area, above Rigel you can see the tail end of Barnards Loop. Check out the large here. (http://astrob.in/63584/0/)
Cheers
Jo
And of course tips and advice appreciated.

Amazing. You've captured it well.
There's no way I could image that at the temps my camera runs at.
Are you using any filters?

Here's something to ponder....how many civilisations are we looking directly at, here? :)

:) Awesome wide field Jo.
This one is on my "to do" list next new Moon. Your image has given me the perspective I need for choosing what to image it through.
Thanks.

Thanks Jeanette,
If you are thinking taking it the same orientation as I've done I would recommend placing Rigel more towards the centre as there seems to be some interesting dust on the left side of the frame. Hope it turns out great, look forward to seeing it.
Cheers
Jo
