Flame nebula first crack

Hey all,

I had a go at this region the other night and it didn't come out all that bad, I could probably of tripled my time on it to try and bring out more data. Still the Flame neb is obvious and the Horsehead less so but it's there.

Looking back at the details it was only 35 minutes of 1 minute exposures but high cloud came in and ended the session early.

Taken with the Polarie, 450D and 75-300mm lens at 300mm.

Nice shot Jarrod, especially with an unmodded DSLR and such short exposures. As you said, more time will help, but unfortunately they haven't invented a filter yet that can see through clouds, so sometimes our hands are tied.

I take a positive out of it that when it clouds over it means I could get a bit more sleep, never seems to work that way though.
