Sick of ISON yet?

I tried every trick I could think of but DSS just won't track on it. So I gave up and used registax instead.

Dawn is getting earlier and the comet is heading for trees so I won't have it much longer by the looks of it. Anyway... details: SW120mm f5 refractor unfiltered, Pentax K-x, 15x1 minute subs at ISO 800. And the HEQ5 pro goto is back in business. Yay. The EQ2 was not fun!

Very nice! :)
Im only new to DSS but you can hold shift (i think its shift) and position the comet crosshairs anywhere you like?

Nice tight star trails, well done.

Thanks Jo. Registax does a better stack and track than me manually in PS. ;)

Hi Kevin,

That's the best dlslr image of Ison so far!

It's a real challenge with the limited window we have.

Cheers,

Justin.
