Over Kīlauea Volcano

Whilst on the big Island we had a chance to fly over Kīlauea Volcano. They also get bushfires, however the aetiology is a bit different.
A truly wonderful experience.

It's an amazing place and we had a great time when we were there last month. We didn't do the chopper tour so didn't get this view of Kilauea - spectacular!

Spectacular Richard!
I did the trip with Blue Hawaii helis out of Waikaloa last year, bit exxy but totally worth it.
Did you do the Kohala coast as well?

Yes we did - beautiful valleys and cloud forest.

We also went to Kauai and did a helicopter tour of the island including the Napali coast. Utterly breathtaking :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
Absolutely love helicopter flights - closest thing to being a bird.
