Took delivery of a small WO refractor today that I'm going to use as a guidescope. Had it set up while I was imaging Jupiter and tried it with the webcam just for fun. The whole moon was nicely framed in the field at f5.9

which 66 did you get?- i just recently got the 66ED petzval, i ran across the prototype in stock at a good price ($299 USD) i didnt get the 2 spd focuser with this, but the single spd crayford, but it came with a CI diagonal and 20mm WA EP- i wanted to use this as a guidescope myscope- instead of using guiderings i hooked mine up to the vixen slo-motion control- orion makes a similiar item but not very sure-footed, celestron used to sale the HD vixen type but discontinued these a couple years ago- astro-tech is putting alot of these out now with color options at a discounted price- looks like they come from the same factory as WO- john

That's a very nice result. Perhaps a tad oversharpened to my eyes but the orientation and phase looks great. Great contrast.

John,
it's the 66SD doublet. I'm interested in your vixen slo-motion control mounting arrangement. Do you have a photo? I'm also trying to avoid conventional tube rings and temporarily have it mounted on a manfrotto ball head, but suspect this won't give be a long term solution.
