Hi,
These images are from Saturday morning.
Comet Lovejoy is sporting a tail, it measures about 25 arc minutes in this image, but I'm sure there is more. Guide 8 has it mag 9.9 but I'd say 8.5.
Still a remarkable resemblance to Comet Lemmon.
Comet Ison was for more challenging from this far south. I had to wait till it cleared the hill and it was imaged in morning twighlight.
It's tail measure about 30 arc minutes. Guide has it at mag 7.8.
Equipment used.
8” F/4 astrograph , baader type coma corrector,. HEQ Pro 5 mount, orion mini guider.
Camera.
Unmodded Cannon 1100D.
