I was down in Kangaroo Valley this weekend for a friends 40th and I couldn't resist taking my scope, the plan was scope Friday night and drink/be merry on Saturday night. Unfortunately I just had one of those nights where nothing went to plan so these startrails are all I got out of it!

that's some pretty awesome coverage!

is the house a single shot superimposed over the trails?

Thanks niko.
The house is multiple images. The individual images are all processed in Lightroom then exported, then stacked using startrails.de and the resulting image is edited and cropped back in Lightroom.
Shot with my 5DmkII + Canon 40mm STM. Also I've been playing with MagicLantern on my camera for a couple of weeks and I'm loving having an intervalometer built in :D

Thanks guys :)

Niko, it was really still, and when I brought the camera in a bit after midnight the tripod was soaking with dew. The next morning was really foggy too, I could only see about 4 metres ahead.

Lovely shots. The first shot showing the Southern Celestial Pole makes me realise why its so elusive. It looks like a black hole, almost.
I do my observing in Kangaroo Valley too - its often really misty early in the evenings. Nice work.
