Coverage of the F1 Qualifying session in India will be on Sat 26th Oct 2013 starting
at 19:00 AEDT.
Coverage of the race itself on Sunday is also on ONE starting at 20:00 AEDT.
P1 has been underway for a short while and Vettel has set a 1:26.683 at the Buddh
International Race Circuit which is located on the outskirts of New Dehli on the road to
Agra.
India is off the F1 calendar for 2014. The Rupee has deprecated over 40% in
the last two years against the US Dollar and the state of Uttar Pradesh
levies an entertainment tax on the event.
Vettel has never lost here so unless something extraordinary happens, chances
are he will walk away with the world championship on Sunday, his fourth in a row.

Not sure whether to watch this one or not Gary. The Sebs show today. Sure thing he'll lap everyone. I'm hoping next year is going to be a little closer in the championship with the new cars to make it more exciting towards the end. Dunno it seams a little boring when you know who going to win. Be interesting to see if Alonso can keep onto his second place with three races to go?
It will be interesting to see how the primes vs the options go in the first phase of the race.

Great race from Grosjean. He's really come along way from last year when he ploughed through the pack at the start. I think at that time maybe he was trying to hard to impress and now he knows he's got a car next year he's maturing and starting to drive well.
Yeah pity about Webber but he's jinxed for sure :rolleyes:. Or someone keeps sabotaging him not sure on that one.
Well done to Ricci too. First of many races in front of Alonso perhaps?:)

Ferrari looked ordinary today! Loved the Seb celebration at the end. Hopefully it will be a close season next year.

He did well there at the end to hold him at bay and as the commentators also
suggested, good practice for next year.
Many have been speculating how the RB9 gets its advantage.

I must be jaded,:question: it was a most uninteresting race, in fact I turned over too watch something else and when I came back Webber had done his usual DNF.
Did anyone pick up what he said to the female who was walking alongside
him on the way back to the pits:question:
I missed what she asked him,but his answer was along the lines ,I will be in a different formula next year.
Seemed to me he was philosophical about what had just happened to him, as if to say it was not unexpected.
I will be glad when this year is over for F1,the tyre debacle and the to me inconsistency in some of the interpretations of the rules was a real PITA.
Vettel is a worthy champion,but at the same time a lot of teams and drivers have not performed upto expectations.
The Indian track is good,but like a lot of the modern tracks in Countries with no pedigree in motor sport,the atmosphere was just about none existent.
I hope next year will be more exciting.:rolleyes:

That's amazing the thinking and work that goes into tuning these cars. When you think Enzo Ferrari not so long ago was saying Aerodynamics are for people who can't build engines. :lol:

I wouldn't be surprised if, after Mark leaves Red Bull, we hear more about the differing emphasis within the team. It's as though the vast majority of effort goes into Vettel's race, with Mark getting whatever is left over.
And look at the treatment of Vettel for his "doughnuts" - team fined 25,000 Euro, which is a pittance. When Mark hitched a ride, he was personally punished with a 10-grid spot penalty.
Vettel can do no wrong in the eyes the FIA, F1 and Red Bull, whereas Mark is, apparently, just some driver.

I think its been this way for a while. Remember the blowup a few years back. I think it was about Webber :mad2: not getting the new front end wasn't it?
Hopefully when he crosses over next year the hoodoo leaves him and he gets treated the way he should be, as a top notch driver and not a second hand fiddle. It would have been interesting to have seen him in a different F1 car before he did go to see how things might have changed :question: . Oh well a well used quote. "Such is Life"

Its interesting that when Webber was making his decision to go to Porsche, he kept Dietrich Mateschitz fully informed, but did not discuss it with Christian Horner, much to Horner's displeasure.
Mateschitz is going to continue providing Red Bull sponsorship, too.

Webber got the 10 place penalty for earning his third reprimand of the season. That reprimand was for entering the track without approval from a track marshall. The ride from Alonso had nothing to do with it.
The wing incident was they took a part off Web's car and put it on Seb's. The youtube clip of the post-quali interview is hilarious.
