Hi,
This is the first time I've attempted combining images to create what would be a perfect scene for me.
It's a combination of comet Lovejoy from Dec 2011 a sunset shot after a storm and my 18mm widefield of the milky way.
I'm happy with this image for a first attempt.
Cheers,
Justin

Really nice but my brain is struggling a bit with the red foreground. Maybe if you added Mars the size of the full moon it would explain the red glow :P
I am particularly impressed by how you've blended the comet over the Milky Way. :)

There are probably other ways to do it but this worked well.
Thanks Ingrid!
Thanks Carlos!
Thanks Morton!
There's a reason for the foreground having a red tinge, it's a sunset shot after a storm.
See image.
As I said, fantasy image reflects my taste.
Cheers,
Justin.

cool Bob and thanks!
Your boss would have to be happy with that body.
Thanks Ross!
Actually you were the inspiration, after seeing your compositions.

Thanks Justin!
I had a play with PaintShopPro myself, trying to translate Louie's great tutorial
(big fan of your stuff btw Atalas!)
PSP doesn't quite handle layers and masks exactly like PS. :(
I will have a go on my daughter's computer, that has PS, thanks
Justin!
