Hi.
Seeing conditions tonight ranged from 3 - 5/10 with the planet doing the 'big heave' (onion ring producing)...Amazing detail to be seen at times, but overall that was cancelled out by the undulations. Oh well.

Hi John
Now that is a sight for sore eyes! Long time no see for me, as I have been pratting around trying to get the ST7 working and ship shape for the Qld Astrofest, so haven’t had much time for the ToUcam.
Thanks for keeping the dream alive.
Cheers

They're still pretty good asi, huge scale.
They almost look a little overexposed in the bright areas on this laptop screen. Might look different when I get to work.

Thats quite possible. I turned my LCD brightness down to 7 (out of 10) thinking it was too bright. Luckily I can remedy that, I purposely tweaked the highlights up in the brightness in these shots.
Thanks.

They don't look as bad here Asi, would probably look just right on a CRT.
The laptop screen on its own really blows out the highlights. Stupid LCD screens.

Yeah. Not overly fond of LCD screens either, took me an age to get used to this laptop after using CRT's for so long.

Very nice pics.
At least I can see what I missed. I went to a dark site at Colo (NW Sydney) but results were rubbish. I am having difficulty focussing on the screen, then lost tracking, then came Dew, low battery and seeing went ( and I got too cold as well!)

Hi Jakob & thanks :) Funnily enough while I was out getting these pics, all the things you mentioned happened to me as well; The dew being the biggest problem..Then of course in came the fog which brought proceedings to an end for the evening
