I am no big fisherman...The last time I went fishing was around 12 years ago...even though I enjoy fishing I dont seem to hang around people that do.

Any way I was invited on a charter boat ($160 a head) to do some off shore fishing yesterday.

We caught 86 fish around 50 Pearch a few cod and some small snapper, ther was others but I dont know the name's off the fish.

I caught supposely the best quality fish in the way of a Coronation Trout what ever that means...below is a picture of me and my fish just before sunset last night.

I only caught 9 fish that were keepers and had to throw back about 10 others that were too small.

It was a big day we went out at 9:00am and got back at 8:00pm

We went out offshore from caloundra about hour and half out.

We first fished in 90 meter water dropping our line's down to the bottom.....didn't catch much then moved over closer to the reefs and dropped our line in at around 30-40 meters of water with was much more success.....anyway had a ball but boy I was stuffed when I got home.

I dont know much about fish but they say my Coronation Trout is top shelf and this fish was a great catch..???

There was other that caught larger fish but who cares about their catch...lol

Nothing taste as good as the fish you catch fresh yourself (as long as you dont freeze them).
Nice catch :)

Awesome Tony, looks like a beauty.

You need more exposure and some flat fields on that image.
Also that horizon can do with a bit of photoshop magic leveling.

:P :P :P

As long as you had fun Tony, thats all that counts. Fish or no fish it would still be a great experience.

Yes Tony! You need a knife and a stove, cheers mate.

BTW Nice catch and they are beautiful eating. Just gut it wrap it in foil with a few herbs and spices and throw it on the bbq. It's making my mouth water now.
