First Macro

Using the standard kit lens that came with my Olympus EM5 i tried out my first macro on an obliging stick insect.
I was surprised by how clean it was and how well the EVF worked on the camera to get good focus as this insect kept waving back and forth as thet do, a bit of a test for AF.

Very nice Allan! Nice and sharp. However you need to ask the insect to look right into the lens next time - something seems to have caught his attention off to camera left!

Good work Allan; these insects really do look like aliens don’t they! AF on modern DSLRs is really accurate and reliable, especially if you can use features such choosing individual AF points to set focus so the AF is less likely to be fooled by other objects in the frame that may be closer to the camera and offer better contrast.
