Photographers BEWARE
I went to get some photo cards printed online through Big W and I'm really glad I read through the Terms and Conditions.

Section 4. Your Copyright.
"We claim no ownership rights in any images or photographs submitted to the Service. Solely for the purpose of enabling your images or photographs to be uploaded and made available on the Service and to fulfill print orders made for your images and photographs you grant to us and to any photofinishing store or other third party engaged by us to produce the products (including fulfilling print orders of your images or photographs), a perpetual worldwide non-exclusive transferable royalty-free copyright licence to copy, reproduce, display, modify, adapt or alter, transmit, communicate to the public and distribute your images or photographs."

Well, I'm not a lawyer, but ... :)

I don't think it's deliberately deceptive or aimed at gaining profit from your photos - imagine the stink if they, say, sent your photos to a news service and were paid for them - but the terms should, IMHO, be strengthened to clearly indicate that the photos will not be disseminated outside of the Service (and third party partners) nor used for any other purpose.

I think those terms are there to cover mirroring, backups, cloud services and sending to partners (and their systems) for printing and posting to you. There would be, at times, multiple copies of your photos in their, and their partners', systems and those partners may include some cheap print shop in China or India, for example.

Thanks for posting. Something to keep an eye on.
