Here's my attempt at the two inner planets on the 17th October. Mercury in IR and Venus in UV light. Also with single video frames from the camera.
Thanks for looking,
Tom

Wow, excellent images Tom, and a fortunate coincidence that we have both imaged both targets at the same time.
Your Venus shows the same equatorial dark cloud blob that mine shows, and your Mercury also shows Cunningham crater. It is great to have different equipment at different locations confirming that we are resolving actual features, not just sharpening artifacts!
Also, you have a small bright feature very well shown in your Mercury image (to the left) that I also saw on mine at various stages of processing, but it only stood out if I over sharpened and I was not convinced of it being real. However, there is a small but very bright unnamed crater at that position on the map, so I think you have imaged that as well.
Great result. Thanks for posting!

Thanks Rod, and thanks Ivan for your analysis of the images. Yep the features match up very well with yours and it is heartening to see that we're not just looking at image artifacts :)
Cheers,
Tom
