Similar to 'CometCatcher' Keven, I made my way out/down to NE NSW at Hasting Point, approx 30k Sth of the Goldcoast, 15k sth of the Tweed to escape the LP with the 8" F4 newt on the Neq6p, no guiding, the Dslr 600D was 30sec auto's on Lovejoy whilst waiting for ISON to rise, when Ison finally rose out of the murk, there was time between the moon behind trees & astronomical twilight for only 12 x 1min subs, better late than never ;)
Ison ids definatly tiny'ish at the moment, tho interesting with its nice little tail streaming from it.
This capture is only from the Jpgs Subs, Ive yet to stack the raws, so might show up somewhat betterra with them when onto it ?

Nice shot all considering Bob.

I'm giving up while the moon is out. This thing is faint enough on a moonless night. Might try again in another week or two if the clouds allow it.

nebulosity.

Nice pic ! :)
Where was my invite ?! ;) I gave up at 3am after the clouds rolled in.
The moon wasn't helping either - Brewington's supposed to be mag 9 ... pfft !

Cheers Kevin, was indeed faint, I struggled finding it with 30sec subs on Dslr with moon out ! Yep, be next new moon for another go here. All the best then hey !

Thanx Jo

Appreciated Chances, maybe next time, yeah  I was expecting clouds also, but, yeah, didnt show up on the morning ! ! I didnt & have'nt yet check out Brewington  is it expected to brighten much more ?
Cheers . .
