Hi all,
Venus and Moon conjunction. 8th of October, 2013
Last week I spent two nights in a row gathering some images of the crescent Moon and Venus together in the west with the Milky Way above them both. During this timelapse, a car came along the road below the hill I was on and provided some subtle lighting on the foreground.

While I tend to shy away from dead tree shots, feeling they've been done to death, this still does look nice and I like the blue vs golden Venus & Moon contrast :)

You've certainly developed a look and style uniquely your own. Another very good image.

Thank you very much guys :D The dead tree foreground is becoming a bit of a cliche but as world class vistas are few and far between in my area I sometimes have to resort to the old faithful. If I could get some cows to stay still for 30 seconds at a time that could be another option.

Great work (as usual) Greg, I really like your style and composition, something I aspire to.
The old dead tree can be a bit cliche but I still love it as the foreground interest on these nightscapes. The reason I like them so much is they sit still when there is a bit of a breeze around which is very handy for the long exposures :)
